| North West Kent DTC is a very friendly and sociable dog training club, and holds several events for its members during the year. |
|
8-CLUB MATCH Every January, North West Kent DTC takes part in a friendly match against 7 other dog training clubs from Kent, Surrey and Essex. Two independent judges are appointed, and classes from Pre-Beginners right through to Test C are held, with one member representing their club in each class.
It's always a lovely day, and is a great chance for the senior club members to encourage and support the less experienced members, some of whom may never have taken part in a competitive event before.

CHRISTMAS PARTIES The Christmas parties are always held at the training hall on the last Tuesday and Thursday before we break up for Christmas. They are fun evenings for members and for their dogs, with a nice buffet and the occasional silly game involving the dogs, such as 'retrieve the sausage'.

CLUB DINNER / AWARDS CEREMONY Each January, the club holds a dinner, at a local restaurant, for all its members. Their families are also invited. After the meal, shields, cups and trophies are awarded to members who have done particularly well during the previous year, by gaining the most rosettes at shows during the season, for making noticeable progress with their dog, or for persevering with a difficult dog.
